McCaskill Ad Wars continue

I was totally going to write about something else, but there’s a new anti-McCaskill ad that’s just too good to pass on.

Take a look at the amazing, clever framing in this ad:

Crossroads GPS spent $300,000 to run this ad, which has some factual issues. The title “From There” is a snark to McCaskill’s first (and so far only) ad targeting spending by¬†outside¬†groups. McCaskill has certainly raised quite a stockpile of money for her re-election campaign – more than $7 million, with $4.8 million still on hand. Her top contributor is EMILY’s List, according to Project Vote Smart.

It always amuses me when I hear the dramatic phrase “death tax” – really, it’s ingenious. The estate tax only applies to estates valued at over $5 million in 2010. Most people never have to deal with it.

The 60 Plus Association, based in Virginia, is a conservative group which opposes the health insurance reform. They’ve also started a multi-state advertising campaign against Democrats who supported the healthcare legislation.
